Chu Hsien LIM
Driven by her childlike curiosity to understand the underlying determinants of life, Chu Hsien is a junior who is pursuing a Life Sciences major at Yale-NUS College. Her constant questioning of the ordinary and appreciation for the community have motivated her to spearhead novel educational and social initiatives. She co-founded KidsAccomplish, a student-led enrichment programme that is based on the concept of liberal arts and sciences. It aims to push the boundaries of thoughts in children as they navigate through today’s highly interconnected world by bridging their gaps in self and social awareness.
One of her more recent endeavours include facilitating the empowerment and appreciation of the elderly in Singapore, especially among the youths. To further equip herself with the necessary knowledge and experiences of effectively impacting social change, she spent the entire summer of 2016 interning at Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at the National University of Singapore and ACCESS Health International.
