Annette YEO
2014 Singapore National Champion at Ministry of Education Invitational Debate Champion, 
1st in Asia at Asian World Schools Debating Championship 2013

Annette is a seasoned debater with over eight years of experience, and numerous local as well as international accolades. As former Vice-Captain of the Anglo-Chinese Junior College debate team, she led her peers to victory at the Asian World Schools Debating Championship in 2013 where she was also ranked 1st in Asia. In 2014, she brought home the National Champion title at the Ministry of Education ACJC Intercollegiate Debating Championships, previously known as the Ministry of Education Invitational Debating Championships. Thus, she has passed on her love for teaching by returning to her alma mater, Methodist Girls’ School (Primary) and (Secondary) as their debate coach. She is presently still coaching with the former and Assumption English Secondary School. Annette also worked with primary and secondary schools through the Junior and Senior Lexis series when she was in junior college.

Presently, Annette is a sophomore pursuing a Double-Degree in Law and Global Affairs at the National University of Singapore and Yale-NUS College, where she is also actively involved in the Model United Nations circuit. She most recently clinched the Best Diplomacy Award at Harvard World Model United Nations 2016 in Rome, Italy. In her spare time, she is one of the few female Singaporeans who volunteers with the Military Justice Project.
